The RowElite Performance Hub ("the Hub") is a coaching and performance-analytics platform operated by RowElite (www.rowelite.com). It is used by rowing clubs and their coaching staff to plan training, record results, and monitor athlete readiness and wellbeing. Each club's data is held separately: one club's staff and athletes can never see another club's data.
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, email, date of birth, squad, guardian contact for minors | You / your club |
| Training & performance | Erg scores, water sessions, race and timing results, test benchmarks, strength & conditioning logs, race plans | You, your coaches, connected devices |
| Physiology & wellbeing | Resting heart rate, sleep, morning readiness check-ins, session heart-rate data, bodyweight | You and services you choose to connect |
| Connected services | Data from Concept2 Logbook, Strava, Apple Health — and, where offered, WHOOP and Polar — only after you authorise each connection | The service, with your consent |
| Technical | Login session cookie, mobile push-notification token, basic access logs | Your device |
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone outside your club and the service providers listed below.
Connections to Concept2, Strava, Apple Health, WHOOP, or Polar are always opt-in per athlete, authorised through each service's own consent screen. We import only the training and physiology data needed for coaching (sessions, heart rate, sleep, recovery metrics), and you can disconnect a service at any time, which stops all further import. Apple Health data is read on your own device by the RowElite app and only the derived metrics are sent to the Hub.
Where an athlete is under 18, the club invites a parent or guardian to give recorded electronic consent before the athlete's account is activated. Guardians may withdraw consent at any time by contacting the club or [email protected].
The Hub runs on DigitalOcean's managed cloud platform in Frankfurt, Germany, within the European Union. Data is protected by encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, and daily backups. Access to production systems is restricted to RowElite.
Your data is kept while you are an active member of a club on the Hub, because longitudinal history is the core of the coaching service. If you leave your club or ask us to, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for safeguarding or legal reasons.
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to restrict how it is used. Contact your club administrator or [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
The Hub uses a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
If this policy changes materially we will note the new effective date here and inform clubs through the platform.
